I don't imagine this will be on YouTube for much longer.

Here is one of the comments from YouTube.

For you guys confused about the ending, it wasn't the newslady who shot Liberty. It was one of the sheriff's people. You can see her earlier, she's wearing a blue shirt. The newslady has a dark suit/dress on.

I think that is Kevin from Smallest Minority

Prices for PS3 games could exceed $75
Do the Math: Will Sony Go Broke?
Wii, not Xbox 360, may have prompted PS3 price cut in Japan

Three stories from Tom's Hardware this morning. If the first one is true, then I'm not getting a PS3. If the PS3 has Blue-Ray, I'm not getting a PS3. If new versions of GTA and Grand Turismo get released on the 360, I'm not getting a PS3. If the PS3 is only marginally higher in price than the 360, I'm not getting a PS3.

With Sony's DRM trouble, and the apparent failure of the format formally knows as Blue-Ray I see no hope for Sony.

SIDE NOTE~ Does anyone know where I can get up to date software for the Sony Walkman Mini-Disc player? I have only been able to use mine twice since I got it. Thanks Sony for not supporting your products with software that will work with Windows SP2.

Working it did get I.

For you Ubuntu users here is what I did.

sudo apt-get install kismet

then I edit the conf file.

sudo gedit /etc/kismet/kismet.conf

In the Conf file you have this

# Sources are defined as:
# source=sourcetype,interface,name[,initialchannel]
# Source types and required drivers are listed in the README under the
# The initial channel is optional, if hopping is not enabled it can be used
# to set the channel the interface listens on.
source=ipw2915,eth1,Kismet <-- HERE!!

My sources are defined from the list on Kismet's website.

The first is my wireless chipset. I have the 2915 Intel set. The second, eth1 is the connection. The third is just the name identifying the list.

Then just start Kismet.

Sudo Kismet

FREE STICKERS!! came through. I got my free stickers in today. One now resides next to the designed for Windows XP sticker that are mandatory on all computers.

CaliEForna is at it again...

California sues carmakers over global warming

SAN FRANCISCO, Sept 20 (Reuters) - California sued six of the world's largest automakers over global warming on Wednesday, charging that greenhouse gases from their vehicles have caused billions of dollars in damages.

Is there ANYTHING I can say? This just boggles the frakin' mind.

The "Big Six" need to say, "Well F**K you California. We aren't going to sell cars in your state anymore."

If you can't afford a German car... I guess your getting a Hyundai.

UPDATE: If this ass drove anything other than a bicycle to the meeting... So help me God.

After I finally figured out who has Wifi around my house (only three of them). I drove home with my laptop in the passenger seat.

To view the file you need to install Netstumbler.

Here is my log from 19/Sept/06.

You know, having me as a neighbor is dangerous. Well, electronic wise anyway.

Things I Hate!

Nuff' said.

Commercial Vehicles (with dumb drivers)

If I was driving down the road in a truck and something came out of the bed which damages another vehicle, I'm liable. The same should apply to all commercial vehicles. For the pleasure right to drive down said road my vehicle has to be registered, insured, and have an up to date tag. Again, this should apply to commercial vehicles. They should have no less than two tags (Front and rear) with the company name/logo clearly visible with contact numbers.

Stupider than usual people.

If I have another person drive the wrong way around Courthouse square I'm plowing into them. The road goes counter-clockwise around Huntsville's courthouse. People seem to like the clockwise way better.

I need one.

Roll Tide

I'll be back tomorrow. I have a Bama game to attend.

UPDATE: Alabama 41, Louisiana-Monroe 7

Notes from the day:

This is one of 17 pictures I took with a .2 megapixel camera (Notice the . is BEFORE the 2)that is built into a pair of binoculars. I should have brought the good camera.

John Parker Wilson (WTF is with three names?) made some dumb mistakes, but did an alright job. Well, if by alright I mean over-throw an open receiver near or in the end-zone three times. Alright?

I didn't know my fathers Toyota Hilux pickup would do 85mph, much less sustain it and get nearly 27 mpg to boot. :)

The Auditor security collection is a Live-System based on KNOPPIX. With no installation whatsoever, the analysis platform is started directly from the CD-Rom and is fully accessible within minutes. Independent of the hardware in use, the Auditor security collection offers a standardised working environment, so that the build-up of know-how and remote support is made easier. Even during the planning and development stages, our target was to achieve an excellent user-friendliness combined with an optimal toolset. Professional open-source programs offer you a complete toolset to analyse your safety, byte for byte. In order to become quickly proficient within the Auditor security collection, the menu structure is supported by recognised phases of a security check. Kismet Updated.

I would like to thank TriggerFinger for the help. However, I give up on trying to install Kismet. It is just to big of a pain in the ass.

This (IMO) extremely hectic install that, in the end, did not work. So, I'll stick with windows and netstumbler. Which, I think, took 2 minutes to download, install, configure and use. Nevermind that I have spent the last two weeks tring to get this working.

There are just too many "opinions" on how to install it. I say opinions because 95% of the time the instructions are bases soley on the machine not the program. To many variables. I know I could get it working, but I don't want to spend anymore time on it.

Hmmm.. Looks like it.

Oh For Crying Out Loud.

Now their just freaking out for no reason.

Here is side project for 'ya. Next time your at Mexican Depot, Wally-Wort, or where ever you shop go the the locks and keys section and see what locks they actually carry. I know my local wal-mart carries two brands of locks. The cheapies and a name brand, both use the same key type. Hardware stores have a little more diversity in their selection but it is still limited to five good sellers.

Keeping Busy.

This is what I have been doing to keep myself from enslaving the human race.
Apparently that activity is shunned in most civilized society. So I do this instead.

Replaced the Asus 9600 XT in my Dell with a X800 XT AIW.

Added better cooling.
HOLY COW it be clean.

is my new Discone Antenna.

Now I have to find a mount point, mounting hardware, and actually mount it on the house.

I'm already sick of Vista, so I am back on my Ubuntu laptop. After goofing for an hour or so I realized I have never installed Kismet even though I've got wireless working.

But there is a problem, I haven't had to install ANYTHING in Linux thanks to Automatix.

I searched the Ubuntu Forums for an answer and got nothing.

So to Google I turned and ended up with...

sudo apt-get install kismet

It does whatever it does then I have to edit the conf file.

vi /home/root/usr/local/etc/kismet.conf

And all I have are lots of ~ in terminal and only the file name at the bottom. None of I can edit.

Anyone who has installed Kismet PLEASE tell me how. I'm a Linux noob.

Vista RC1

I have just installed Windows Vista RC1 Ultimate Edition on my desktop.

The 30 minute install.

I have installed ONE driver. Compare that to the usual 15 when I do a reinstall on this computer.

The only driver was the beta ATI video driver for my x800 XT AIW.

I have installed GTA: SA to judge gaming performance. At the moment the game plays 3 to 5 FPS slower than the XP install. Not bad for BETA!!

It looks great. I like the Linux(ish) 3D desktop viewer.

MASSIVE RESOURCE HOG! (512mb at idle)

A P4 2.8, 2048mb RAM, 80gb HD, and a 256mb X800 XT only rates a 4 on the vista experience chart thingy.

Other Thoughts:

I have heard from other RC1 testers that Vista actually closes or reduces background processes to devote more power to the game. But for all the resources it uses just sitting here it sure does render GTA very well. In other words, GAMING PERFORMANCE IS NOT REDUCED WHEN COMPARED TO XP!
