I am sure everyone know about the "Hot Coffee" video in Grand theft Auto: San Andreas. And that most retail stores have stopped carrying the game. Eventhough that this game and this are still carried?

In a fit of curiosity, I tried to find the mod and video. Most of the video sites did not have it listed. And I know that I have seen it there. Afterall they have had a lot worse stuff on there.

So I started on my merry searching way...

Take-Two Interactive, confirmed that its advertising practices were indeed the subject of a Federal Trade Commission inquiry. On Monday, the US House of Representatives
voted overwhelmingly in favor of such an investigation. Specifically, the FTC's Division of Advertising Practice is looking into how San Andreas was promoted, and to whom, to determine if Take-Two was culpable in misleading the public.

I find it absolutely amazing that our elected leaders can agree to investigate a f***ing video game, but can't do ANYTHING ELSE. Funny, but not really.

On a side note, I hate the Clinton's.

Then I come across this, and start to wonder?

If the Sims is WORSE... WTF? (This is just to funny. So setup.)

Poll: Americans Say World War III Likely

WTF? It's already happening people. Get with the program.

WASHINGTON Jul 23, 2005 — Americans are far more likely than the Japanese to expect another world war in their lifetime, according to AP-Kyodo polling 60 years after World War II ended. Most people in both countries believe the first use of a nuclear weapon is never justified.

Okay, first problem; it's an AP story out of Japan. Of course the “Nukee” is not going to like it, but the “Nuker” shouldn't feel bad about saving countless lives with that action.

Two-thirds of Americans say the use of atomic bombs was unavoidable. Only 20 percent of Japanese felt that way and three-fourths said it was not necessary. Just one-half of Americans approve of the use of the atomic bombs on Japan.

Wait, 66% say unavoidable, but 50% approve???

Hideko Mori, a 71-year-old Tokyo housewife, said that as a child in Nagano in central Japan, she and her neighbors had to take refuge to avoid American air raids.

Holy Shit! I had no idea we were the bad guys!!!???

Trade tensions have increased between the United States and China after America ran up a $162 billion deficit with China last year, the largest ever with a single country.

So. What in the hell does this have to do with world war three?

I don’t think we can EVER USE ENOUGH NUKES. But that’s just me.

Thoughts. Comments.

It's going to be nasty after this.

Well then.

SAN BERNARDINO Incorporating Ebonics into a new school policy that targets black students, the lowest-achieving group in the San Bernardino City Unified School District, may provide students a more well-rounded curriculum, said a local sociologist.

Well, isn't that just dandy?

"Ebonics is a different language, it's not slang as many believe,' Texeira said. "For many of these students Ebonics is their language, and it should be considered a foreign language. These students should be taught like other students who speak a foreign language.'

Okay, I'll agree with that. I won't acknowledge you if you speak it. I don't speak Spanish, so why should I try and figure this out?

Texeira said research has shown that students learn better when they fully comprehend the language they are being taught in.

"There are African Americans who do not agree with me. They say that (black students) are lazy and that they need to learn to talk,' Texeira said.

"...need to learn how to speak?" Yes?

"I'm afraid that now that we have this the Hispanic community, our largest population, will say, 'We want something for us.' Next we'll have the Asian community and the Jewish community (asking for their own programs). When will it end?'

When everybody speaks English, again.

Texeira urged people not be quick to judge the new program as socially exclusive. She said people need to be open to the program.

"Everybody has prejudices, but we must all learn to control that behavior,' Texeira said. She said a child's self confidence is tied to his or her cultural identity.

They refuse to teach their children in this countries native language and somehow it's my prejudice that makes it wrong? (Did I read that right?)

She compared the low performance of black students to starvation. "How can you be angry when you feed a family of starving children?'

Hey I have a good idea! Lets go out and piss people off that are in control of multi-ton vehicles! I don't know what this guy expected to happen but he got what he deserved. I would have done the exact same thing as the driver.

Somebody please tell me...

what this is?

Mythbusters.

How many people watch the Discovery Channels Mythbusters?

One, two.

Two, okay.

Well, last night they were testing the myth that water is a good defense against bullets.

I didn't get to see the handgun tests and the shotgun test, but the results were;

The slower the velocity the more likely they were to make it deeper in the water.

However, the .223, 30cal, and 50cal did absolutely NOTHING AT THREE FEET
at a 30 degree angle. (All supersonic rounds)

I will have to catch a replay to get all the facts.

Something else: Even though they are in San Francisco guns didn't bother them one bit (Well, not Jamie).

Even in the ballistics tests (previous episode), the entire casts gets in there and fires off a few dozen automatic rounds.

Joseph Wilson Calls on Bush to Fire Rove

WASHINGTON (AP) - Former Ambassador Joseph Wilson called on President Bush Thursday to fire deputy chief of staff Karl Rove, saying Bush's top-level aide engaged in an "abuse of power" by discussing Wilson's wife's job with a reporter.

Power? What power does he have other than to advise? Hence, Deputy Chief of Staff.

Wilson, in an interview broadcast Thursday on NBC's "Today" show, said he thinks the White House's posture in this controversy represents a continuing "cover-up of the web of lies that underpin the justification for going to war in Iraq."

Just as I thought, a moron. Or STILL a moron. Depends on how you look at it.

Wilson was asked about statements by Rove's defenders noting that an e-mail describing Rove's conversation with Time reporter Matthew Cooper indicated that Rove did not specifically mention Valerie Plame by name.

WTF? How did he leak her name without saying it?

"My wife's name is Mrs. Joseph Wilson," he replied. "It is Mrs. Valerie Wilson. He named her. He identified her," Wilson said. "So that argument doesn't stand the smell test ... What I do know is that Mr. Rove is talking to the press and he is saying things like my wife is fair game. That's an outrage. That's an abuse of power."

My wife’s name is Mrs. Valerie Wilson? I did not know that until YOU told me.

Asked how he and his wife were coping with the continuing controversy, Wilson said, "We have two 5-year-old twins and they occupy most of our free time. She's obviously nonplussed at this unwanted attention brought to our family. But she's tough."

Again, the moron theory; they have TWO five-year-old TWINS... So there are FOUR?

"The president has said repeatedly, "I am a man of my word,'" Wilson added. "He should stand up and prove that his word is his bond and fire Karl Rove."

Did I miss something? When did the President say he was going to fire Karl Rove?

Is This the Work of the Hillary-Beast?

Sen. Joseph Lieberman (D-Conn.), ranking member of the Senate Armed Services (SASC) airland subcommittee, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.), a SASC member, and Reps. Ellen Tauscher (D-Calif.) and Mark Udall (D-Colo.), both members of the House Armed Services committee, are pressing for the passage of the United States Army Relief Act.

However, the Drudge link states: Hillary Clinton introduces legislation to raise size of Army by 80,000 troops...

GTA: SA is in the news... again.

Kim du Toit is on an interesting topic today.

Somehow, it seems, that Grand Theft Auto franchise has struck a nerve with Kim and a San Francisco based watchdog group.

Because of a "mod" that allows graphic sexual displays that could be harmful to children.

Give me a break.

1) GTA is rated mature so no one under the age of 18 can even purchase the game.

2) The mod is available for the PC version of the game only.

3) If the game gets into the hands of a minor and he/she does something stupid, what the hell do I care. Is it my fault that their parents didn't teach them right and wrong?

4) 95% on the GTA sales have been for Playstation.

5) The game is rated mature so no one under the age of 18 should even be playing it.

6) Why does society shun at sex, but gobbles up violence?

It's an ADULT video game. Made by ADULTS for ADULTS.

Have you had one of those days?

It seems as if this blog has turned into an outlet for me to vent my Toyota induced anger.

HA!

Well, Friday my sister was out running errands with my father. He threw his back out the previous day and needed to get a few things to help out with the pain.

First stop the Chiropractor. Pulling up to the door in a very tight parking lot, my father hobbles out of the car and into the office.

No more than ten minutes later they emerge and go on their marry way.

Second stop Medication. Setting in the turn lane waiting to pull in the parking lot and…WAM!!!!!!!!

She gets rear ended.

It apparently wasn't bad enough for my father to even call the cops and report the accident.

My sister, being so mad she could piss acid, calls me.

A few minutes later my grandfather, mother, and I are standing there photographing the damage.

My sister is still visibly pissed. Not at the fact that she was in her first car accident, but that daddy-o did dick about it.

You would think someone with BACK PROBLEMS WOULD HAVE PITCHED A HISSIE FIT AFTER BEING REAR ENDED!?!?!

Yes?

My mother calls the police to report the accident.

My father informs her that he told the lady it wasn’t too bad. And that she could go.

I jump down his throat… so does everyone else.

The police arrive and we inform him of the recent information we have received.

A really nice guy gives my sister a pep talk and how she didn’t do anything wrong, and none of it was her fault.

While he is getting back into his car, I notice something.

There is beige paint on the passenger side rear quarter panel.

Wait a minute, the car that hit her was a blue SUV? WTF??

Turns out she was hit at the chiropractor’s office by a beige van.

Damn.

I don’t subscribe to luck.

Curses are different.

This little car is cursed. Engine problems, tree, and two car accidents in ONE day.

It’s not that the car was destroyed, it wasn’t, but there needed to be a police report.

Why?

The newest damage to the car may throw off the estimate for the older damage to the car.

Stupid car.

Dell Hell.

Thanks to BlogJones.

The MotherBoard Chronicles.

(From Chapter Three.)

He places me on hold for – and I’m not kidding here – twenty two minutes. The only reason I didn’t hang up is because I held firmly in my mind the conviction that if I let him go now, I’d never ever get through to Dell tech support again. Finally, he popped back on the phone. “Okay, sir?”

“Yes,” I grumbled.

“Okay, I think I know what is going on. I believe it may have something to do with your drivers. Can I get you to go to Start, Control Panel, Display?”

“David.”

“Yes sir?”

“I cannot do as you ask, David.”

“Oh. Why not?”

“Because my display does not work, David. I can’t see a g**damn thing.”

“Oh. Okay, so it’s your monitor that needs service then?”

“No, David. I’m fairly certain it’s the video chip. I plugged an external monitor in and it didn’t work at all.”

“So, um… Ok, so you have a monitor plugged in and it doesn’t work?”

“Exactly.”

“Umm… Is it a Dell monitor? Because I don't think I can help you if it's not a -”

“David.”

“Yes?”

“Transfer me to your superior, please.”

“Umm… okay, no problem, one second sir.”

Nineteen minutes, several doodles of David in a guillotine, and three broken pencils later:

“Sir?”

“Yes, David?”

“My supervisor is tied up on another call right now.”

I sighed heavily. “Why does that not surprise me?”

“But sir?”

“Yes David?”

“I asked another tech here about your problem, and they said that it’s most likely your motherboard.”

“Yep, that’s pretty much what I figured.”

“Okay, so will you be repairing this yourself, or will we be sending a tech out?”

“Oh, dear God, I hope you are sending a tech out.”

“Oh, okay, because to send a tech out would be $520.00.”

A VERY stunned silence ensued. He decided to break it with the “good” news.

“But if you do it yourself, that price drops to $380.00”.

“David.”

“Yes sir?”

“David, this laptop is still under warranty.”

He took a few seconds to study this. “Oh. I guess it is. In that case, I guess it would be free.”

I swear to God the Almighty that if David had been present in the room with me, I would have hoisted him high into the air and dropped him across my knee, breaking his back and paralyzing him for eternity. I would then spend every waking moment for the rest of our lives together reciting poetry about football into his ear and forcing him to eat nothing but Atkins-friendly candy.

Also, it seems that Dell hates Bloggers.
