Day 304?
The reason I ask is because this is still at the bottom of this site.
304 days ago, John Kerry promised, on national TV, to sign form SF-180 and release his military records. He has yet to do so.
Hey, in 56 days is my one year blog anniversary.

Dear Markos,
You and the Left are sounding more and more like al Jazeera every day. You're blind hatred of the Bush Administration is endangering the lives of U.S. soldiers and embolding our enemies to kill them.
I know you 'love' America, but your 'love' of America is like that of an abusive husband who 'loves' his wife. You 'love' America so much that you will not let any opportunity pass to belittle and abuse her. You 'love' America only when America acts in exactly the way in which you believe it should act. When America gets out of line, you pull no punches.
It's good stuff. Rusty really rips Kos a new one and then does it again.

I Thought So.
Career is most important in your life. Having a high focus on career indicates that you are extremely focused on furthering you career right now. You don't mind working late at the office or sucking up to your boss because you know it will pay off soon. ![]() Take this quiz at QuizGalaxy.com |
I love the Internet.
Huh?
I don't know what I was looking for when I found this.
Residents protest presence of gun dealer in Leimert Park.
The gun dealership, owned by Bartochba Botach, was discovered Friday by Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Los Angeles, and a group of Crenshaw area residents, who, responding to rumors, went to the unmarked storefront at 3423 W. 43rd Place and demanded entry.
Discovered? You mean it didn't exist before he found it?
He said he is an international arms dealer with a government contract and that everything he does at his Crenshaw store is legal, Moore said. He told us he has a right to be in there, but we didn’t.
If you read the article it doesn't explain that comment at all. I guess if it is his businesses he has the right to refuse any costumer.
“He said, yeah, he sells guns and ammunition in bulk, but only to law enforcement and the military,” Moore added. “He said he is an Israeli and that he operates the gun business with his family. I asked him why he had to sell them in our community. I was angry, so I told him to go sell them in his own community.”
Oh. Military and Law Enforcement only, but that's where I get... never mind. Okay, the article doesn't explain that comment either.
Botach Tactical is a gun supply store that has allegedly been operated by Botach for 12 years. Parks said Botach has had other businesses in the community for at least 20 years.
Yet another comment that makes NO since. And what the hell is with the allegedly? Yes or No?
The councilman said Botach has a current valid state license to sell arms and is contracted by the Los Angeles Police Commission to buy and sell guns, ammunition and arms-related materials in bulk through the Internet to police agencies around the country.
I think I get it now. The reason gang members kill each other in the gang land capital of the world is because that there is a gun store that sells to the police only? Or maybe it's that guns cause crime. Yeah, that's it. Guns cause crime.
“We have contacted the LAPD gun detail to run a trace on guns involved in crimes to see if any of those guns can be traced back to Botach,” Parks said. “Officers from gun control reported that they are very familiar with the location and its operation and they have not received any complaints from residents or business owners surrounding it.
WTF? To see if police weapons are involved in crimes? Someone please explain that to me.
“I understand the community’s concern due to the type of business Mr. Botach is operating, given current crime and murder rates in the surrounding area,” Parks added. “While Mr. Botach’s license does allow him to sell items commercially, as does any license to sell arms, his business is primarily Internet-based and supplies and materials are sold only to police departments and other government-related agencies.”
Man, so far I am going paragraph by paragraph. I need to skip a few. Again, guns cause crime. Duh.
CONTRADICTION 101
We see this.
...familiar with the location and its operation and they have not received any complaints from residents or business owners surrounding it.
And three paragraphs down we see.
“We are currently looking into all the current complaints...
HAHA! You suckers were caught.
An official of the national Brady Campaign to Prevent Violence expressed concern about the apparent legal stash of guns in a high-crime area. “I am not familiar with the particulars in the situation in South Los Angeles, but any stockpile of weaponry can be breached by forces intend on illegal useages,” said Eric Howard, associate director of communication for the Brady Campaign.
I thought The Brady Bunch prevented Gun violence. When did they change their name?
And remember kids guns kill people. People don't kill people.
“The lobby got Congress to reject President Bush’s request for budget funds to track illegal weapons last fall. The gun industry knowingly markets its weapons to criminals and knowingly funnels weapons into the illegal market.”
Holy Crap! What a hatchet job. Knowingly?

Break a Man's Heart.
The Ferrari Enzo. Not the most beautiful exotic car ever produced, but will send the car crazes into a frenzy at the sight of one. The Lamborghini murcielago is the tamest of the breed. Yet still has a high drool factor.
Now I have somewhat confirmed this first story and the second is... well, evident.

I am sure some of you have seen the Enzo picture. The Lambo was new to me. :(
It turns out some TEENAGERS got ahold of daddies keys. Not teen boys mind you but girls.
YES, they were street racing each other.
The Lamborghini was driven by minor Courtney Shannon, daughter of Danny Shannon the owner of a large exotic cars dealership.
The Ferarri Enzo, the world's rarest car, was driven by Rebecca West who's father is a prominent attorney.
They were the drivers. Their brothers were in the cars also.
Of the five all stable and one critical. Too bad though.
The Lamborghini
Story TWO.
The Enzo above was the third one totaled out of a 400 total units.
Get ready for number four.

I don't think he hit anything. There just isn't enough parts on the ground for two cars.

UN-U.N.
UNITED NATIONS (AP) -- The U.N. General Assembly overwhelmingly urged the United States on Tuesday to end its 44-year-old trade embargo against Cuba, a call U.S. Ambassador John Bolton dismissed as ''a complete exercise in irrelevancy.''
It was the 14th straight year that the 191-member world body approved a resolution calling for the U.S. economic and commercial embargo against Cuba to be repealed ''as soon as possible.''
The United States, Israel, Palau and the Marshall Islands voted against the resolution, while Micronesia abstained. Four countries did not indicate any position at all -- El Salvador, Iraq, Morocco and Nicaragua.
WHY DO WE DEAL WITH THE U.N.? U.S. OUT OF THE U.N. Or better yet U.N. OUT OF THE U.S.
Democrats Win Gov. Races in N.J., Va.
Democrats swept both governors' races Tuesday, with Sen. Jon Corzine easily winning New Jersey and Lt. Gov. Tim Kaine taking Virginia despite a last-minute campaign push for his opponent from President Bush.
Kaine had 995,290 votes, or 51.5 percent, to Kilgore's 894,609 votes, or 46.3 percent, with 99 percent of precincts reporting.
In New Jersey, Democratic Sen. Jon Corzine trounced Doug Forrester, with 1,071,905 votes, or 53.5 percent, to 865,485 votes, or 43.2 percent, for the Republican, with 91 percent of precincts reporting.
"There's no way to spin this than anything other than a major defeat for Republicans and for President Bush," said University of Virginia political scientist Larry Sabato.
Okay, I'm mildly confused. Both New Jersey and Virginia has Democrats as govenors prior to this election.
So...

Scientist says device disproves quantum theory
Now I just feel dumb.
If it is to good to be true…
Randell Mills, a Harvard University medic who also studied electrical engineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, claims to have built a prototype power source that generates up to 1,000 times more heat than conventional fuel. Independent scientists claim to have verified the experiments
The problem is that according to the rules of quantum mechanics, the physics that governs the behavior of atoms, the idea is theoretically impossible
Mills: “My experiment! It stopped working!”
Naudts: “I think I know what the problem is.”
Mills: “What?”
Naudts: “It VIOLATES THE LAWS THAT GOVERN THE UNIVERSE!”
Mills: “Oh, is that a problem?”
Naudts: “Dude.”
Physicists are quite conservative. It's not easy to convince them to change a theory that is accepted for 50 to 60 years. I don't think [Mills's] theory should be supported," said Jan Naudts, a theoretical physicist at the University of Antwerp.
This is scientific heresy. According to quantum mechanics, electrons can only exist in an atom in strictly defined orbits, and the shortest distance allowed between the proton and electron in hydrogen is fixed. The two particles are simply not allowed to get any closer.
According to Dr Mills, there can be only one explanation: quantum mechanics must be wrong. "We've done a lot of testing. We've got 50 independent validation reports, we've got 65 peer-reviewed journal articles," he said. "We ran into this theoretical resistance and there are some vested interests here. People are very strong and fervent protectors of this [quantum] theory that they use."
Dr Mills's idea goes against almost a century of thinking. When scientists developed the theory of quantum mechanics they described a world where measuring the exact position or energy of a particle was impossible and where the laws of classical physics had no effect. The theory has been hailed as one of the 20th century's greatest achievements.
"If it's wrong, it will be proven wrong," said Kert Davies, research director of Greenpeace USA. "But if it's right, it is so important that all else falls away. It has the potential to solve our dependence on oil. Our stance is of cautious optimism."

Bird Flu.
I can no longer stand the crap (pun soon to be intended) that the MSM is spewing about the Bird Flu. I cannot find a number on how many people have died from the bird flu. Well, the closest I got was Thailand reported 13 deaths.
Hell, lightning averages 93 deaths per year in the States and that isn’t a concern.
I mean, can the stuff even be transmitted form human to human yet? But I did find number on how many have died from diarrhea.
- Diarrhea death statistics for various regions worldwide:
- About 707,000 deaths from diarrheal diseases in Africa 2002
- About 57,000 deaths from diarrheal diseases in The Americas 2002
- About 604,000 deaths from diarrheal diseases in South East Asia 2002
- About 16,000 deaths from diarrheal diseases in Europe 2002
- About 259,000 deaths from diarrheal diseases in Eastern Mediterranean 2002
- About 154,000 deaths from diarrheal diseases in Western Pacific 2002
Most warning us of the “pending” epidemic can only tell us how many will die.
Sir Liam Donaldson told the BBC that 50,000 would die.
David Nabarro hinted at 150,000,000.
But even the U.N thought that was a little excessive.

Alito on Abortion.
Sooooooooo.
- A 1991 challenge to a Pennsylvania law requiring married women to notify their husbands before seeking an abortion. The court struck down the restriction. Alito dissented.
- A 1995 challenge to a Pennsylvania law that required women seeking to use Medicaid funds to abort a pregnancy resulting from rape or incest to report the incident to law enforcement officials and identify the offender. Alito provided the decisive vote striking down the abortion restriction.
- A 1997 challenge to a New Jersey law that prevents parents from suing for damages on behalf of the wrongful death of a fetus. Alito ruled that the Constitution does not afford protection to the unborn.
- A 2000 challenge to New Jersey's ban on so-called partial-birth abortions. Alito struck down the law based on a recent Supreme Court decision.
Analysts are divided over the meaning of Alito's votes and his various writings while on the bench.
